Dr. Betty Merveil-Ceneus and Wikenson Merveil established this Foundation in honor of their mother, Christine Merveil. She dedicated most of her lifetime in the personal and academic development of many children and young adults in Haiti. In addition to her full time teaching job, she helped establish and became the director of an evening school program which was dedicated to teach the less fortunate on how to read and write. She instilled in them confidence, hope, integrity and commitment which is a set of fundamental values these students needed to remain true to their dreams and conquer the challenges of life.

Financial illiteracy is one of the main reasons many people struggle with saving and investing. In Haiti, there is a necessity to encourage an entrepreneurship spirit as it is almost impossible for students to pursue a college education due to the lack of infrastructure and the poor economic development. These devastating facts propelled us to carry out Mrs. Merveil’s legacy by providing to young adults in America and abroad financial and investment education, and sponsoring their business ventures along with mentorship opportunities.
